Day 9: Page AZ on the way to Grand Canyon

Would you believe on the day I outprocessed at Schofield Barracks the gentleman who had me sign the forms was talking about Grand Canyon. I asked him for advice since we were going there and he said they went every year and we should check out a place called Antelope Canyon in Page AZ. We did and it was spectacular.

It is what they call a slot canyon, where water has eroded the sandstone down into the ground and left all sorts of orange colors and shapes and crevices. Our photo taking abilities don't do it justice but here are a few.

 Descending down into the canyon.

I imagine it's hard to take a bad picture there among all the beauty, huh? Those sand stones are truly amazing. I can't wait to go back there with our girls some day.
