Day 12: Bryce Canyon National Park

I have to say, Utah is a cool place. I'm definately coming back here to look around some more. Hopefully it will be on a dual sport motorcycle so I can take some side roads and explore a little.

Today we drove through Dixie National Forest to Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah.

Hey, more snow!  I like it, I like it. What...your not supposed to wear shorts and flipflops here?
That right there... is a lake.
We went up to these guys (called Hoodoos) and asked for wisdom and... yea... they weren't talking.
The road leading into the park. (or maybe Narnia:-))
This could be part of Narnia but it is really the Hoodoos of Bryce Canyon.

Nope, they wouldn't let us walk over it.
A man at another campground told us Bryce was basically a big pothole. As unappealing as that description is, it's kinda accurate. Ok we'll call it a beautiful,  unusual pothole.

No we didn't test fate, we stayed away from the sides.

Except for this picture and we weren't too close.
The infamous Desert Short Horned Lizard. He was actually only about 2 and half inches long.
Pronghorn antelope buck. They were all over the place in the park and on the way to Idaho.
