Day 20: South Dakota and Mt Rushmore

We got into Rapid City to overnight before heading out the next morning to see stone faces as one of the locals called it. The weather was a bit of a challenge but it wasn't snowing so we headed out.
air mail. hah. (sense of humor?)
cool tunnels.

This was a super curvy road, (Mum wouldn't let us out of the car, she thought we were going to get mauled by cougars. (they were obviously stalking us.)
This is the horror version of Mount Rushmore, (just look at the faces, it's pretty scary, thank you rain.)

This guy was on the side of the road, he's friendly.

Side view, ain't he pretty?
(our parents gave us something, and the results were pretty scary.)
Mum- "Mary!! Pick his nose!!!"
mini crazy horse...
cause we couldn't see the real one (bright side- we got in half off because of the snow!!! yipee!!)
This is what the picture above is supposed to look like.
such a lovely face.
We thought that this kitty was fake, but it was REAL!!
rocks.
cooler rocks.
ice tree (freezing, we stayed in the car)
REALLY cool rock.
tunnel rocks.
last rocks. (there were a LOT of rocks.)
These guys below were just walking down the road.
